I Don’t Have a Morning Routine
-
How many times have you seen a beautifully aesthetic morning routine posted on any social media? I see them all the time and I always wish my mornings could look like that. Spoiler alert, comparison and perfection rob us of true joy.
In the world of social media, it's easy to get caught up in the glamorous morning routines that influencers and content creators post. These often consist of waking up at the crack of dawn, meditating, working out, reading, and making a gourmet breakfast - all before 8 AM.
While it's great if you can do all of this, it's important to remember that these routines are often carefully curated and may not represent these individuals' actual day-to-day lives. More importantly, they might not be what's best for you.
Everyone has different needs, schedules, and energy levels in the morning. What works for one person might not work for another. The best morning routine is one that fits your lifestyle, meets your individual needs, and sets you up for a successful day.
So, next time you scroll through social media in the morning, don't compare your routine to the aesthetic ones you see. Instead, focus on what makes you feel good and sets you up for success. Remember, it's your morning and your routine. For me, the most consistent part of my morning is having my cup of coffee with my dog. Sometimes I do meditate using the Headspace app because I know it will help me, or sometimes I do pick up a journal and write a bit, but again it’s about finding what makes you happy and what works with your life. It shouldn’t add stress.
I hope your week’s starting off great. You’re doing awesome! Stay Strong!

I am in my women’s sports era right now. I have been all consumed with the women’s NCAA tournament, Caitlin Clark from Iowa breaking tons of NCAA basketball records, women’s AND men’s. The first women’s soccer stadium just opened in Kansas City. The SheBelievs cup is coming to my neck of the wood in Atlanta and the idea of going to a professional international Womens soccer tournament excites me.
All of the media that women’s sports are getting right now is lighting up the part of me that loved playing any sport possible growing up. It’s exciting to see sold out crowds for women’s sports as that was not heard of before. And finally starting to se women’s sports on TV.
We’re also seeing women’s skills keeping up with the men especially in the basketball arena. So the “argument” that men’s sports are more exciting or impressive than women’s is pretty obsolete at this point.
It makes me excited for myself just to enjoy but also for all the young girls out there who can regularly see women succeeding in sports and know that they could do that too if they wanted. If you haven’t been as caught up in all of thi as I have take a look at the awesome things female athletes are doing and get excited about the shift that’s happening for future generations.
